Attingal: It was actually darkness at noon in Attingal yesterday, accompanied by heavy rains. Mild showers have been present throughout the last week, especially during night. But those all turned out to be sample showers as the skies opened yesterday unleashing a furious chilling wind along with the rain. More rainfall is expected, as old-timers predicting an early thulavarsham (Malayalam word for the rain during October-November months).
