Attingal: The town is gong to witness the mega shows by film stars including the two Malayalam superstars, Mammootty and Mohanlal. The two shows, titled mega show and giga show, jointly organized by Attingal municipality and private firms are intended to project the historical importance of Attingal and the tourism potential of Attingal. The mega show, in which Mohanlal is expected to participate, is jointly organized by Jeevan TV and Mastroemania, an upcoming advertisement agency in Attingal, along with the municipality and is scheduled on November 3. This show aims to garner proper recognition to the Attingal mutiny in 1721 (Attingalites believe it is the first armed struggle against British in Kerala). Meera Jasmin, Saikumar, Vineeth Sreenivasan, KPAC Lalitha, K.S. Chithra are the other stars expected to participate in the event.
The giga show, jointly organized by Swayamwara Silks, a textile showroom in Attingal, and Doordarshan along with the municipality, is scheduled on November 8. Mammootty is expected to participate in this event. This event aims to promote the tourism potential of Attingal based on the historical significance and pilgrimage centers around the town. Padmapriya is also expected to participate in the event.
