Two people killed in accident in Attingal

Attingal: Two people have been killed in an accident in Alamcode. Dr. Rajagopalan Nair (64) and his wife Syamaladevi Kunjhamma (54), natives of Kowdiar, Trivandrum, died on the spot when their Matiz car collided with a KSRTC super fast. The accident took place at AWICS junction, at around 5 PM. The car was going to Trivandrum. The super fast came from the opposite direction in the wrong side and hit the car. The region between Poovanpara bridge and Alamcode is becoming a highly accident prone zone. This is the second accident in this region in this week itself.

we know that we should not cross cross the yellow line when we ride

we know that we should not overtake through left side

we know that we should keep the specified distance from other vehicles

we know that we have to show the proper traffic signals

we know that we have to ride with in the speed limit in specified areas

we know that we have to stop our while somebody is crossing through Zebra line

BUT for us Traffic rules are to read and smile and not to Follow,

it's pitty that, we see lots of accidents every day and think , it will not happen for me.

Yes. I agree with you. Driving is becoming a real headache these days. One's ego reflects on the way one drives. Still, to give one's life for the negligence of somebody else is too big a price. I heard that their daughter's marriage was scheduled on this month and they were coming back after inviting some relatives. My sympathies are with the girl to be married and her sister. May God give them courage to withstand this tragedy.

Anyway, there must be something to prevent these accidents. I am not able to think up any big innovations for that. But I think with mature driving from all the drivers, the number of accidents can be reduced significantly. The driving at present makes you feel like big gutters are in the minds of people than in the roads.
