Attingal is a noisy town in southern Kerala. A 35-km busy stretch of NH 47 attaches the town with Thiruvananthapuram, the state capital. The name ‘Attingal’ means ‘by the river’. We indeed have a river here, Vamanapuram river, which meets national highway at Poovanpara and calmly ducks under it. This website is all about Attingal.
